About Aviva
Aviva Stanoff embodies the union of two worlds Japanese heritage and the American metropolis.

From her North Hollywood roots in 1970’s bohemian California to tending to the flowers surrounding her grandfather’s Buddhist temple in Okayama, Japan, Aviva Stanoff represents a cultural tapestry that fuses more than just the contradictions and combinations implicit in her work.

While completing her MFA in applied textile design at the Academy of Art University, Stanoff spent a summer in NYC working evenings designing runway textiles for apparel while interning during the day at Calvin Klein Home. By graduation, Stanoff’s designs for Calvin Klein were on the store shelves, and her work for Mark Kroeker earned her a mention in Vogue. Stanoff began her career in textile design focusing on fashion runway work for close to six years before she launched her current collection. Her clients included top fashion houses in New York, London, and Paris. She launched her home accessories collection 2003 and was noted as a “Best Bet” by the New York Times in her inaugural season. Her products have been featured in both the 2006 Oscar Gift Basket and the 2005 Golden Globes Gift Box and this year Modern Bride noted her designs as on their Top 100 Favorite things for 2007. Her decorative pillows won for Best New Product in Home Accessories at the NY Home Textile Show 2006, and Accessory Merchandising noted her as one of the Top 100 products of 2006.

Aviva’s work is known for her combination of sophistication and subtlety. Each one-of-a-kind concept is hand - crafted with unwavering attention to design and detail as traditional embellishments meet cutting-edge textile treatments exclusive to her design studio. Her deliberate luxury is seen in her unique made-to-order products, sold internationally in high – end retail boutiques and department stores, and interior designer showrooms.

Most days you can find Aviva in her waterfront loft where she has a design studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The other days she travels the world looking for inspiration for the new collections she shows twice a year. She welcomes studio visits, licensing opportunities, collaborations with architectural design firms, event planners, and custom work inquiries.
